Beverly Meier had submitted her DNA to the same site, hoping to learn more about her life. She was adopted at birth and wanted to know where she came from. The DNA results, as it turns out, weren’t the only thing giving away these two as sisters. Both share a love of Diet Coke, chips and dip, and cream cheese for breakfast.

Carole, it turns out, was given to Glady’ best friend Connie, who was unable to have children of her own. Despite growing up less than 100 yards apart, the two never met. Joanne Milroy hadn’t seen her cousin for 30 years until she discovered they were working at the same Amazon factory together. What’s crazy is when she was reunited with John Pownall, she was just about to give up her search.
For two years, Milroy had been trying with no luck to find her cousin. At her wit’s end, she was giving up her search when she saw his name on the rotation at the Amazon warehouse she worked at. Filled with glee, Milloy said, “I asked a colleague to introduce us, and after asking him a few questions, I told him I was his long-lost cousin.”

When Roberto Gaspa was a teenager he had twin boys with his ex-girlfriend. When they were six months old, she gave them up for adoption. Because the children didn’t have his last name, he was helpless to do anything about it.
With the help of his current girlfriend, Gaspar posted details about his twin sons, where they born, and other helpful information. Within days the post went viral and reached his sons in Canada. Not even a language barrier could keep this mother and son from expressing their love. David Amaya Barrick returned to the United States after 30 years in Mexico speaking only Spanish. Upon seeing his mother, he said, “I love you, and I missed you a lot. I welcome you into my life.”
His mother, Kathy Amaya, only speaks English. She said, “I love you, and I’m very happy to see you, and I’m not going to let you go.” Then they embraced, and no more words were lost in translation. Mary Rose Stalknaker was 90-years-old and convinced she was the only child from her generation when her cousin found her. The reunion came after her granddaughter noticed a picture of Stalnaker with another child. Kelle Jones decided to take her investigation to Facebook.
The other child in the photo was Mildred Pierce Spencer, the cousin Mary didn’t remember she had. When the met, Stalnaker was overwhelmed. Jones described the scene, “My nana is usually like, ‘I don’t know these people,’ but there she is tearing up.” And now we’re tearing up, too!
