Police apprehend ‘suspicious’ Pokemon and warn citizens to be careful

Police in Nicholasville, Kentucky have issued a warning to local residents.

While on patrol an officer opened the Pokemon Go app and quickly discovered what they called a “suspicious” character.

The officer snatched a Pinsir. You can see their mugshot below:

The police department issued the warning on Twitter.

While they were obviously having fun with a game that has become a national phenomenon, they did issue a real message with the tongue-in-cheek post.

Police are urging Pokemon Go players to be courteous and safe while playing the game. Drivers have been accused of playing the game while driving, and pedestrians have literally walked out into oncoming traffic.

Bail has not yet been set for the Pinsir and they are not listed as being held in the Jessamine County Detention Center.

If there’s one Pinsir in the area, there are more — be safe.
