These Animals Are In A Complete Autumn Mood

Humans aren’t the only ones celebrating the cooler weather. Our animal friends, wild and domestic, are enjoying the lower temperatures, too! With those fur coats, now is the perfect time to play outside and run around. Especially if running around involves jumping into an enormous pile of leaves. I mean, what animal can resist scattering a good leaf pile?

Be-leaf me when I say that you don’t want to miss what’s going on in these adorable animal pictures.

Can someone please give us the exact location of this precious creature? This lion cub looks beyond thrilled sitting on his thrown of leaves. His leaf crown fits perfectly on his tiny head, even though he looks like he’s about to paw it off. At least the picture was taken before he got the chance!

It’s safe to say he’s aiming to be king of the leaves this fall season. Talk about cuteness overload.

The Best Gift Ever

I’m not crying, you’re crying. This puppy doesn’t seem to care that the leaf is bigger than his head. He’s more interested in giving his gift to whoever is behind the camera. I mean, look at his tiny gallop and smug smile as he holds that leaf! And when a pupper gives you a leaf, you act like it is the best gift you’ve ever received because it probably is.

13/10 good giving boi.

Leave it to a pug to freak out when a leaf hits his behind. I’m surprised the silly animal felt that slight weight underneath all his glorious wrinkles. Needless to say, I am thrilled the leaf fell on him. It gave us this shot, after all! Honestly, what’s better than an action shot of pug wrinkles? Answer: nothing.

Let’s hope the little guy got the leaf off and had some fun outside (he probably ran inside).

Fall Is The Time To Bust A Move

As long as he doesn’t pull a hip flexor with those sweet kick moves, we love the enthusiasm. Albeit not as graceful as the dancers in Swan Lake or The Nutcracker, this pooch knows how to bust a move. Someone is obviously excited that the fall season is finally underway! Can’t say we blame him.

I’m just jealous that I’ll never be a fraction as excited about something as this crazy boi is about falling leaves.

Hide-And-Seek

This beautiful pooch is an expert at hide-and-seek. Is it cheating if his fur is the same color as the leaves? I’m fairly certain we don’t care! That animal looks majestic lying in that pile of leaves.

If there’s cheating going on, it’s lying in bright orange leaves that make your eyes pop! I hope I’m not the only one hypnotized by those baby blues. Hey, when the lighting and colors calls for it, you take the shot!

What’s better than one dog? You guessed it — two dogs. Hands down the playdate of the century — a pile of leaves and your best friends. A doggo’s dream. The photographer must have figured out the secret to the universe. How else do you get two dogs looking at the camera at the same time? Pretty much unheard of. Teach us your ways!

If you don’t want to teach us, please at least invite us to the next get-together.

Watch where you step! This little ball of spikes made its way into a leaf pile, and we couldn’t be happier! Even though Mr. Hedgehog is most likely scared out of his mind, we can’t help but admire how well his spikey exterior coordinates with the beautiful red and orange leaves. Talk about taking advantage of your color palette!

Hopefully, his human brought him inside quickly after this pic! The stink-eye game is strong with this one.

There must be a squirrel across the yard. There’s no way this good boi is that happy, but he most likely is. Look at those bright eyes and goober expression. The biggest smile has taken over his face, and after seeing this picture we can’t help but wear the same! You know that his humans are laughing at that silly face and loving every minute of watching him play in the leaves.

It’s safe to say this leaf enthusiast is not going inside anytime soon!

Dog Vs. Leaf Pile: The Ultimate Showdown

Plan of attack: no idea, just focus on destroying the leaf pile. This lab is sitting so intently it makes you wonder if he was bribed with treats to sit still for a picture. I mean, come on! There is a gigantic pile of leaves waiting to be jumped in.

Here’s to wishing we had the “after” shot! Then again, it would probably just be a picture of scattered leaves with our friend buried somewhere in that mountain!

Peace And Quiet

Camouflage level: dog. This pooch must have been trying to get some peace and quiet from his humans. And it looks like the alone time is just what the doctor ordered! His eyes are soft and even his ears are back, making him look all relaxed in his personal leaf-pile bubble. Looks like someone is a lover of the fall season!

I doubt he’s going to move anytime in the foreseeable future.

Sorry, but it definitely looks like we interrupted an important Halloween meeting. How else can you explain five black cats circled around an orange one? It’s too perfect. Leave it to cats to host their meeting on the deadest leaves imaginable. I find it hard to believe that those were the only leaves on the premises. Maybe they enjoy the crunching sound when they lie down?

Just back away slowly. There’s no reason to get in the middle of cats as they’re summoning demons.

It must be this Gold Retriever puppy’s first fall because he looks delighted to be catching those falling leaves! Well, at least trying to catch. He’ll get there one day, and in the meantime, we can all cheer him on and give him all the pets and kisses he desires. That always helps puppers catch leaves, right?

We hope he had the best first day ever! We just know he’ll grow up to be the best leaf catcher there is.

We should all take some relaxation tips from this wolf. Our wild friend seems to be in such a tranquil state, fully embracing the fall season and lying on the forest floor of freshly shed leaves. Somehow, he is making that leaf bed look oddly comfortable and not at all itchy. Maybe we should try one out later.

Seeing an animal look this peaceful, with the leaves changing color and fall, reminds us of the magic of Autumn.

This little girl made her dog one happy camper. Even though that leaf pile isn’t the biggest in the world, there’s a lot to be said for gratitude!

Maybe someone should let the girl know that she might pile up more leaves using a rake and not a broom? Not that her pooch seems to mind. He’s to busy rolling around in what is probably the best gift he’s ever been given.

It looks like this silly dog got buried in his leaf pile! At least he thought to stick his nose out of the foliage. Doggos need oxygen, too! At least he can continue to have fun and not worry about losing his breath. And even buried, I spy two little brown eyes peeking out from between the sea of yellow!

This good boi is keeping an eye out to make sure no funny business is going on in the yard.

This dog is embracing its inner tree goddess with that beautiful crown of leaves. If she started dancing in the forest, we’d be hard-pressed not to follow suit. She looks like she has a horde of forest creatures just waiting to do her bidding – a.k.a shenanigans that secure her the position as Queen of the Forest.

Mix in those gorgeous brown puppy dog eyes and we are completely and utterly lost under this lovely pooch’s spell.

Um, why can’t I be as photogenic as this Aussie puppy? With its perfect black and white fur that looks as soft as a cloud, statuesque pose, and upward head tilt, this dog almost looks fake. Seriously, what dog knows how to do a flawless head tilt? It’s just not fair.

Cue in the bright red leaves falling perfectly around his little body and you get the best fall picture ever.

We’re suckers for a good toe-bean picture, and this little fuzzball does not disappoint! Is it just me, or does that overly concerned look make this picture weirdly amusing? Someone should clue our furry friend in, the falling leaf is not going to put her under arrest, nor will it hurt her in a court of law. Although it would make for a good cartoon: Leaf vs. Doggo.

Hopefully, she had a better outdoor experience once the leaf was out of her line of vision.

To say this lab puppy doesn’t look amused in that pile of leaves would be an understatement. He looks utterly distraught! I don’t blame him. If my mom put me in a pile of leaves for the ‘gram, I’d be upset, too! The cold weather probably isn’t helping his attitude, either.

He deserves a nice big bed next to a warm fireplace, perhaps with a juicy bone for his troubles.

Autumn is for the dogs. If the candy cane bandanna and huge smile are any indications, someone sure is in the Halloween spirit! I’ve never seen someone so happy to have a leaf on their head. We should all take a lesson from this doggo: enjoy the little things of the season!

We can only hope that this golden retriever wears his bandanna through October because he looks way too dashing to take it off.
