While many pets are eager to get out of the house, some animals are desperate to get back in! Though they can’t effectively knock on the door, animals have some pretty clever ways of getting the homeowner’s attention. From scaling doors to making silly faces, these animals have some hilarious ways of showing their desperation to get inside.
Please Get Me Away From This Bird
We’re not sure what a peahen is doing on this person’s front porch, but the cat certainly isn’t happy about it. The feline is looking wide-eyed into the glass door as though she’s trying to telepathically communicate with its owner.
We would guess that the cat is thinking something like, “Let me in, there’s a giant bird out here!” On the outside, she looks cool and collected, but on the inside, she’s holding her breath.
Bet You Can’t Ignore THIS Face!
This dog looks like he’s tried everything to get his owner’s attention, and now he’s getting creative about it. The husky is pressing his nose against the glass door, sticking out his tongue, and making wide eyes.
The silly face is definitely challenging to ignore, and we get the feeling that’s the point. After barking and jumping, the dog finally plopped down and just started making faces. That’s a brilliant move that we hope got him admission into the house.
I. See. You.
This cat has definitely mastered the art of the intimidation stare. It looks like he’s furrowing his eyebrows to emphasize his dissatisfaction at being locked outside. We’re not sure if this is a stray cat, but he definitely isn’t shy about trying to get inside.
He also has his paws next to his face as though he’s trying to shield the sun from his eyes to get a better look inside. Anyone in the house walking by would know this feline means business.
Let Me In!!!
This kitten looks like she’s either surprised or frightened as she stands in front of the glass door peering in. Her eyes are so wide that you can see the color all the way around her pupils.
The cat’s mouth is open and we can only imagine the panicked meow sound that was coming out when this picture was taken. This kitten isn’t just asking to be let in; she’s demanding that someone open the door right away!
We’re All Waiting
We can’t say for sure that cats, dogs, and chickens all know how to communicate with one another, but this image makes it seem like they’re all in on something. The two chickens, the puppy, and the kitten seem to be looking at the same thing.
If we had to guess, we’d say the thing they’re looking at is the owner of the house as they plead to be let inside. The kitten is even stating on his hind legs to peer inside!
Free Teddy Bear If You Let Me In
This sweet dog seems to be communicating that he wants to come inside through bribery. She’s brought a teddy bear to her owner as though to say, “You can have my toy if you open the door.”
Some dogs take the aggressive route and try to bark or claw their way inside. This pet knows that the real way to persuade her owner is through kindness. Who could say no to such a good girl?
Good Manners Ought To Do The Trick
This sweet cat must have learned how to sit properly by modeling after her owner. She’s sitting on her bum with her hind legs in front like a human. We must say, this feline has great posture.
It’s as though the cat thinks that sitting upright will display her good manners and win her the right to come inside. She isn’t wrong. A cat that looks like it’s about to pounce is much less likely to get let in than one looking like an obedient schoolchild.
Not Even Trying To Be Sneaky
Some wild animals creep their way into a house by hiding under items and darting in when the homeowner is least expecting it. This raccoon isn’t even trying to be sneaky about getting into the house.
He’s just standing upright, looking straight into the house like, “Hey, could you let me in?” The raccoon’s dark fur blends into the background, so the homeowners probably were taken aback when they realized there’s an animal peering at them!
Get Me AWAY From This Deer!
This kitten is not a fan of the Bambi lookalike next to him. The Disney movie made it seem as though all animals love such sweet-looking deer, but that isn’t the case here. The tiny feline seems frightened for his life the way he’s meowing at the owner to let him in.
Meanwhile, the doe looks just as interested in coming into the house, but out of curiosity rather than fear. We’re not sure how the owner is going to manage letting in the pet and not the wild animal.
Pwetty Pwease Let Me In
This dog is definitely trying to use those puppy eyes to her advantage. Who could say no to such a sweet looking face? It’s hard enough to ignore those pleading eyes, but especially when the dog is look right up at you!
The sweet pet propped itself up on its hind legs to lean against the glass door and look right up at the owner. It’s like she’s looking straight into the owner’s soul to get them to cave and let her inside.
The Curious Squirrel
They say that curiosity killed the cat, but in this case, it’s a squirrel whose too curious for its own good. Squirrels typically race away as soon as a person gets within a few feet of them.
However, this furry guy looks perfectly comfortable standing only a window away from the homeowner. He’s practically leaning his face right up to the glass and seems interested in going right into the house! Maybe he’s more of a domestic squirrel.
That’s Not Funny
Something about the look on this cat’s face makes it very apparent that she is not amused. Her eyebrows are flat, and her mouth is frowning to make a face that says, “Are you kidding me?”
Based on the position of the owner’s hand, we would guess that he just bopped the cat’s nose through the glass door. Apparently, the feline does not think the joke is funny. At all. To her, this closed door is no laughing matter.
Nevermind The Fact That I’m A Cougar
This cougar isn’t afraid to get up close and personal with the neighbors. She’s sitting right on their doorstep waiting for an invitation inside. Either she admired the owner’s taste in home decor or she’s looking for a midnight snack.
Either way, there’s no way the homeowner is going to open that door, especially with the cougar’s mouth open mid-roar! We wouldn’t know whether to be fascinated or horrified! At least it makes for a great story.
Look Into My Eyes
This cat looks like she’s almost trying to hypnotize her owner into opening the door. The feline is standing on her hind legs with her front paws propped up on the door.
She has an eerily straight look on her face and her eyes are fixed on what we would imagine is her owner. It’s as though the feline is saying, “Look into my eyes” as she tries to hypnotically convince the owner to let her inside.
Good Cop, Bad Cop
Some dogs and cats are enemies, but these two look like they’ve partnered up to achieve the common goal of getting their owner to open the door. They seem to be taking a good cop, bad cop sort of approach.
The puppy is acting like the good cop with his big eyes and innocent look on his face. Meanwhile, the kitten is clearly the bad cop. Her mouth is open to bear her baby canines as she hisses with wide eyes.
The Melodramatic Dog
This dog could win an award for the most melodramatic performance of the year. He’s not only standing on his hind legs, but he’s in a full backbend so he’s looking straight behind him.
The canine’s mouth is open as he lets out what must have been a desperate howl. With such a dramatic pet in the house, we can only imagine what the neighbors must be thinking. At least the owner isn’t falling for their dog’s act.
This cat is so determined to get inside the house that she’s quite literally scaled the screen door! The feline is hanging by its front and back claws to hold itself in what must be a very uncomfortable position.
She must know that he can’t get in by climbing up the screen, so the only purpose of doing so is to attract more attention from the owner. If acting like a spider-cat won’t do it, that creepy smile on his face sure will!
Maybe If I Stand Like A Human They’ll Let Me In
This boxer couldn’t possibly be standing any taller as he peers into the house. It’s like he’s trying to stand upright to look like a human, as though that will trick the owner into letting the canine inside.
You can even see the tension in the dog’s neck muscles as he strains to reach his head up tall. His gaze is probably right at the owner, so maybe he’s trying to be at eye level to persuade the owner to let him inside.
This Raincoat Is Not A Proper Shelter!
While some dogs can be very dramatic about being left outside, this one has a legitimate point. It’s raining so much outside that there’s a layer of water covering the patio, and this little chihuahua can’t be more than 6 pounds.
The owner at least equipped the dog with an adorable pink raincoat, but that’s not much compared to a dry house. The poor canine must be thinking, “You have got to be kidding me.”
Climbing The Window Grids
This cat is so bent on getting inside that she climbed up the window grid to get higher up on the door. She got up high enough to be taller than the door handle! We hope that the owner had the sense to lock the door because this cat could practically grab the handle and open it right up!
The feline’s open mouth and bared claws make her look pretty intimidating, so we would want to be on the other side of the door if she did get it open.
