Bartender Sheila Weisgerber got a huge surprise last week when a guest overheard her story and left her a $300 tip. The 48-year-old grandma and her daughter have had a tough past few years. Sheila’s daughter was raising a toddler and triplet boys when their father died in a car crash.

The 30-year-old mother told her mom that it was too much to take care of her daughter and the triplets. So, Sheila has been raising the now four-year-old boys for most of their lives.

While having custody of the boys can be tough at times, Sheila doesn’t regret the decision. She explained, “I love children and it wasn’t in my cards to have more. And now I’ve been blessed to raise the boys. If I was asked to do it over again, I would. These little guys are a true blessing.”

Last week, Sheila explained on Facebook that she was at work and talking to a couple of regulars about the triplets when a couple at the bar overheard and exclaimed, “Triplets?!” She smiled and said yes and showed them a recent photo of the boys.

The couple replied, “Holy Cow!” but didn’t say much else, according to Sheila. Instead, they finished their drinks, paid with a card, and left their slip on the bar, telling her goodnight.

Sheila wrote, “I cleared their glasses and took their slip to put in the till and this is what they left.”

The grandma added that she went to the bathroom to cry because “You only read about things like this happening…So grateful!” She added, “Words can’t describe how grateful I am. You know there’s good out there. It helps, and it will help the boys later.”

Sheila put the money in savings accounts that she created for the boys after their father died.
