Disney And Pixar Animators Have Been Sneaking ‘A113’ Into Movies For Years, Here’s Why

For the last several decades a secret message has been encoded into 3D animated films, cartoon drawn features, and even blockbuster movies that feature special effects. That secret message, a simple “A113,” can be found in the works of Disney and Pixar films, and various other projects from outside animators.

An internet user recent sat down with many top animals films and TV series to find examples of the mysterious A113 code. Here are a few of their findings.

Surely this must be some secret code that unlocks a magical vault at Disney or Pixar right? Actually the answer to this magical number is simple. It turns out that many of the animators who have worked for Disney, Pixar, and other animation studios over the years, all attended the California Institute of Arts. The room used to teach first year graphic and character animation at that facility is room number A113.

A special thanks goes out to Imgur user The Ghost Who Hates Spills, they compiled many of the found A113 images contained in this post.
