An Owl Bar Is Opening In London To Support Owl Conservation Efforts

How do you save endangered owls? You stick a bunch of the magnificent creatures in a bar and raise money to support conservation efforts for the species. The highly unusual effort has already been successful in Tokyo, and now Annie the Owl and some of her friends will spend a full week at a bar in London.

The event will be held from March 19-25 from 8:30 PM until 2:00 AM and more than 43,000 people have already voiced interest in attending the event which was organized by Locappy. All money raised will go to support the Barn Owl Centre, an organization dedicated to protecting owls in the UK.

While cafes in Tokyo have some more permanent OwL guestS, to avoid stressing out the owls, the London Fundraiser has limited hours and a one-week time limit.
