As a young adult, Katie Page made the decision to move across the country and start a new life. She found herself living in Colorado but still didn’t know where her place in the world was. Eventually, she discovered that her calling in life was to become a foster mom, providing help to children who needed it the most. Soon after, she began taking in infants, and she eventually adopted her first baby boy. After taking in another baby girl that had been dropped off at the hospital, Katie noticed something about her son and the new girl. What she later discovered about the two children she couldn’t believe.
A New Beginning
In her early 30s, Katie Page was living in Alabama, yet was feeling unfulfilled. She was looking for a new beginning to get out of the rut she felt she was in. Her marriage had recently ended, and she felt completely lost.
It was a time she has described as the hardest in her entire life. She knew that the only thing she could do was to start over entirely, and despite having friends and opportunities in Alabama, she needed to get out.
