Juan caught Lakiza's attention while he was washing cars in front of a local shop. Although he was noticeably homeless and desperately needed some personal care, he was kind, worked hard and wanted to help others.

Lakiza saw past Juan's rough looks, into his beautiful soul. But after cutting his hair she realized how handsome he was.
Taken aback, Lakiza said, "I was a bit surprised - [he] looked super good." The two felt an instant connection toward each other.

It didn't take long before the two felt a spark. Both Luz and Juan were kind-hearted people, and recognized that in each other.
After cutting his hair, they kept in touch... and started dating!
Lakiza was like the daughter Juan's family never had!
