Whether it’s giving surgery to an injured bald eagle or saving an orphaned baby fox, Pocono Wildlife Rehabilitation and Rescue Center is dedicated to helping injured and abandoned animals. Since their inception in 1983, they save over a thousand animals like bears, raccoons, ducks, hawks, and rabbits each year. Their goal is to give these orphaned and injured animals professional treatment, then release them back into the wild. They also provide educational services to thousands of students, tourists, teachers, scouts, and homeowners in order to help reduce human-wildlife conflict.
The center is licensed by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the Pennsylvania Game Commission and raise funds by selling jewelry crafted by local PA artists.
