The Care for Wild Rhino Sanctuary is one of the biggest rhino orphanage and sanctuary in the entire world. The sanctuary focuses on caring for orphaned and injured rhinos then releasing them back into the wild if they’re able.
Rhinos are constant targets for poachers, and in 2015, over 1,000 of the animals were poached in South Africa. The Care for Wild Rhino Sanctuary aims to help and has a dedicated helicopter route that they use to find injured and orphaned rhinos that may be at risk. They employ a team of highly qualified veterinarians who arrive at the scene to treat the injured rhinos and transport them back to their facilities. Transporting such large animals is a major undertaking, but Care for Wild Rhino does it with ease.
