Pit Bulls Are Obviously Vicious Animals — Here’s NOT Proof

Pit bulls get a bad rap. Sure some of the breed are vicious but that’s typically because they were raised in horrible conditions — oftentimes including dog fighting and being locked in cages for all hours of the day.

Pit bulls have been demonized by the media since the 1980s and they are often banned from apartment buildings, some public spaces, and more. In the United States alone more than 2,800 of the animals are euthanized — that’s nearly 1 million deaths every single year.

In reality, most pit bulls have the temperment of a Golden Retriever. In fact, they used to be called “nanny dogs” and were often left in charge of babysitting children.

So how do we stop this demonization of the breed? A pit bull named Belle is helping after a video of the puppy cuddly a baby gained 27,000 viewed in just two days.
