According to the Smithsonian Magazine, a 2014 experiment that had 12 goats pull a rope to get a piece of fruit out of a box saw nine of them pass. And in fairness to the remaining goats’ intelligence, two of the remaining three were disqualified because they tried to open the box with their horns instead. Better yet, those who passed were able to remember what they did ten months later.
