Goats Are Often Overlooked

Although goats may not be the first animal that you would think of in terms of intelligence, it turns out they’ve been greatly overlooked. For some time, scientists had a hunch that they are much smarter than we give them credit for. To prove their intelligence, a group of scientists in Australia set out to learn whether goats would use a special device in order to get to some fruit.
To get the fruit, the goats had to use their teeth to pull a rope and activate a lever that they then had to open with their mouths. Nine out of twelve goats were successful in their first few tries and even remembered how to do it a year later.
