Parents of older dogs who have new babies are often stressed about what might happen when the baby comes home from the hospital. A baby’s crying can be especially trying for dogs who are sensitive to noise. But you can alleviate the transition by showing your dog that having the baby around is a good thing. Parents in such a situation could give their dogs a treat or their favorite toys when the baby is around so that they know that the baby is not a threat.
