One 2013 study published in Education showed higher graduation rates were associated with groups of students practicing meditation. The small sample size was taken from an urban high school on the East Coast. The senior class of 235 students was split into two groups; one meditating and one not.

At the end of the year, it was revealed that 15 percent more students from the meditating groups graduated. Current statistics show that only 69 percent of students graduate from American schools. That number drops to 46 percent for African American students.
