A quick thinking pet owner sticks their dog in the fridge

Dog in fridge

Some cold weather dogs can overheat very quickly if they spend too much time in warmer weather. Their fluffy exterior has been genetically developed to withstand cool temperatures.

Unfortunately, some people choose a dog that isn’t great for their climate because it fits their own personal aesthetic preferences.

For those that do adopt cold inclined dogs but live in a warmer place, it is extremely important to make sure that they are always staying cool.

Sometimes the cool down process involves spraying water on the dog or feeding them ice cubes. For some dog owners, it apparently includes sticking them in an OPEN fridge.

When this dog owner noticed their dog panting really hard they knew it was a sign of overheating.  A little bit of quick thinking led her to stick the dog straight into the refrigerator, hoping that the cooler temperatures that are good enough for our food would be enough to bring down the body temperature of her dog.

The owner made sure to leave the fridge door open so their pet wouldn’t suffocate and they even periodically gave them food and water.
